Misery…

That is the only word I can think of when I see the following…

Weather
Why we cry ourselves to sleep.

For the Europeans and Africans in the crowd, -8 F = -22 C.  Can you even imagine?!

Seriously, all I want for Christmas is a visa to get into Sudan…anything to escape this.

Merry Christmas everyone…unless you live in a warm climate…then I hope you have a horrible holiday.

Is this an episode of the Twilight Zone?!

Well, I figure it is time for an update of sorts for all of our family and friends around the globe.  We haven’t updated the ol’ blog in a while because there hasn’t been much to say.  As you can probably tell the “best case scenario” second week of November receipt of our visas didn’t happen.  As of today it looks as though the earliest we will be leaving is the start of the new year.

While this is nice to be home for a while, it is difficult because we exist in this nebulous vacuum with no real point in day to day life.  We have seen family and friends, read a lot, learned new things…but eventually without true direction you begin to, uh, dawdle.  Our dawdling has taken many forms, but the problem that has recently arisen is that we have started dawdling form our dawdling…this involves staring at walls, reciting Edgar Allen Poe, and reading Nietze.  Not really (but really).

Well, that is all for now…sorry we don’t have anything happier to write…we will write again before the holiday, so stay tuned.
